Customer Solutions Engineer - FR9

Position: Customer Solutions Engineer

The Customer Solutions Engineer will assist our sales team throughout the customer selection process: You will present Bizanga technology to prospective customers, participate in design of solutions, run pilots at customer sites and, where appropriate, provide consulting.

As part of the Customer Service team, the Customer Solutions Engineer will also provide delivery and post-sales professional services, including training, to our growing list of industry clients.

The Customer Solutions Engineer will also interact with the product organization to discuss new features required by customers.

The position will have dual reporting lines to the customer service and the sales organization.

This is a senior level position that will require travel up to 50% of the time; remuneration will be based on experience.

The position is located in our Paris office.

Minimum Required Skills:

The ideal candidate must have the following knowledge and skills:

  • Sales support skills:
    • Ability to create high-quality technical and business documentation, including complex responses to RFP/RFQ/RFI’s.
    • Ability to present complex solutions in a business-oriented approach
    • Ability to understand and report customer needs
    • Positive relationship skills, both towards internal customers (sales) and external customers (service providers)
    • Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Technical skills:
    • Hands-on experience in mail server architecture, including anti-spam design and policies
    • Knowledge of telecommunications architecture for Cable Operators and ISPs
    • Working knowledge of networking technologies and concepts, including Internet security and encryption.
    • Familiar with Linux, SMTP, HTTP, DNS, MTA technologies.
    • Significant understanding of Operating System architecture, specifically Linux, and basic hardware knowledge of platforms, including HP or IBM, including RAID architecture and file systems.

Education and Work Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or Computing Science, Masters degree preferred. Candidates with other educational backgrounds will be considered if highly experienced.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience on systems in the telecommunications industry.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
