Jérôme Lecat

Jérôme Lecat, CEO & Vice President of EMEA

In 1994, Jérôme Lecat founded Internet-Way with Olivier Dauchot and Olivier Lemarié. As CEO, he built the company from a garage start-up to one of France's first and most successful ISPs. In 1997, he led the UUNET acquisition of the company bringing a 55% internal rate of return (IRR) to the investors. After reaching profitability, he served as vice president of products at UUNET EMEA.

Since 1998, Lecat has been active as a business angel joining boards of venture capital (VC) backed companies. The companies include Data Center Technology, a backup appliance start-up; Dedigate, a profitable valued-added hosting company and Vision Objects, the world leader in handwriting recognition.

As interim CEO, Lecat turned around Zencod and successfully merged the company with Net Secure Software now known as Net Secure One to build a leading French corporation in the web security market. Lecat holds a research diploma on artificial intelligence and graduated from Ingeneur National School des Ponts et Chauss'ees.

Olivier Lemarié

Olivier Lemarié, Chief Technology Officer

A co-founder of Internet-Way, Lemarié played a prominent role in the design and deployment of the entire technical infrastructure and in the development of value-added services.

After to the UUNET acquisition of Internet-Way, Lemarié functioned as chief technologist for UUNET Europe, Middle East, and Asia. He was also in charge of defining UUNET Europe's technological direction.

Always looking for better ways to exploit technologies, Lemarié founded Overnetworks in 2000 to develop a new scalable technology to intelligently route data on the Internet. During this period, he consulted to several start-ups helping them define their business models and technological direction.

A graduate of EPITA (Paris), he has a Master's degree in Computer Science (Systems & Networks).

Marc Sheldon

Marc Sheldon, Chief Strategy Officer

With more than 15 years experience in the Internet and telecommunications industry, Sheldon's background covers both entrepreneurial and large corporate organizations. He co-founded EUnet Germany in 1992 and quickly led it to become the largest business-focused Internet access provider in Germany.

After selling the company to UUNET in 1996, Sheldon headed the Global Wholesale group at UUNET's and increased its annual revenues to over USD $26 million within a year. Later, he built and executed the business plan for UUNET's entry into the Asia Pacific region.

Sheldon then managed UUNET's activities in the region and ran country operations in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore together with the acquired operations of OzE-mail in Australia and New Zealand. He guided the regional operations to earn more than USD $300 million in revenues in 2000.

As COO, Sheldon worked with LINE, a subsidiary of Hutchison Whampoa and a logistics business process company, to drive its growth. He holds an MBA and a Master of Finance degree from Bond University in Australia.

Giorgio Regni, VP Engineering

A veteran of open source and commercial development projects, Regni's expertise ranges from leading development for an open-source content management system to designing and implementing a POS system for restaurants used in over 5,000 restaurants in France.

Regni joined Bizanga, shortly after its inception, started as a lead developer for the core IMP application and firmware before taking responsibility for the company's development activities. He holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science from INSA in Toulouse.

Serge Dugas

Serge Dugas, VP Sales EMEA

During his 20 years experience in the telecommunications and financial Services industries around the world, Dugas held multiple management position in marketing and sales management roles with leading US-based hardware or software providers. He closed the first reference deployments for Kabira among leading European telecommunications operator. Dugas led the subsidiary to become the largest operation outside of the US Domestic market with an installed base counting top European mobile & DSL operators like Vodafone and Orange.

Previously, he helped Sun Microsystems in a global marketing role in its endeavor to transform from a workstation company to a leading IT provider for the finance industry. He spearheaded the roll-out operation of this marketing strategy in financial services by managing the sales team in Asia. Dugas started his career as a consultant with Price Waterhouse.

Dugas holds an MBA and is a certified public accountant.
