Reputation
Reputation Partners let our customers access a comprehensive combination of E-mail and messaging reputation databases that rank and categorize senders based on criteria. These criteria include E-mail volume, business type, certification status, volume of detected spam originating from the sender. By combining this information in the IMP Workflow Policy Processor, customers can apply their own policies to their message and E-mail streams.

Commtouch
Commtouch's IP Reputation Service differs from other similar services in its breadth of coverage and real-time delivery of information. Commtouch's global detection centers analyze millions of messages per day, globally providing visibility into network traffic in every location. In real-time, the IP Reputation Service determines if a particular address is sending spam, legitimate E-mail, or both; and whether or not it has become a zombie. These capabilities let Commtouch's IP Reputation solution react to distributed zombie attacks the moment they start.
Commtouch IP Reputation classifies traffic based on the following factors (leveraging statistical analysis of averages over time and recent changes):
- Mail volume
- Spam ratio
- Valid to bulk ratio
- Real-time zombie/botnet detection
- Composite RBL score that is continuously refined
- Use of IP DNS and whois attributes such as domain age, geography, known dynamic IP and other factors.
By integrating Commtouch's IP Reputation with the IMP Workflow Policy Processor, operators can throttle unknown and suspected sources while clearing the bandwidth to offer free access to desired senders.

Habeas
Habeas manages several of the industry's most comprehensive reputation databases. Habeas collects, analyzes and categorizes the behavior of over 150 million IP addresses and domains received from the Habeas Network -- over a quarter of a million receiving mail servers in over 170 countries. This becomes two databases: Habeas SafeList and Habeas SenderIndex:
The Habeas SafeList, one of the industry's most widely-used Internet whitelists, integrates directly with the IMP to identify reputable senders whose communications are allowed to bypass content filters and head into the inbox.

Supported Platform: IMP

Habeas SenderIndex, a comprehensive E-mail reputation database, ranks and categorizes volume E-mail senders to help service providers make better decisions on how to manage E-mail traffic. Unlike blacklists and whitelists, it defines characteristics -- such as E-mail volume, authentication usage, business type, and mail type -- and allows service providers to apply their own policies to inbound mail streams. Habeas SenderIndex also integrates directly with the IMP for use within the Workflow Policy Processor for segregating and classifying E-mail and message traffic.

Return Path
Based on its work with E-mail senders since 1999, Return Path maintains two databases derived from tracking and scoring the behavior of E-mail senders: The Sender Score Reputation Monitor and Sender Score Certified.
Sender Score Certified, formerly known as Bonded Sender, provides a whitelist to service providers for identifying legitimate mailers. E-mail senders in Sender Score Certified must adhere to extremely strict program standards. Sender Score Certified is a successful and widely adopted E-mail accreditation program. Over 35,000 receivers representing corporations, ISPs and universities have successfully implemented its whitelist.

Sender Score Reputation Monitor, Return Path's E-mail reputation service, tracks and scores the behavior of E-mail senders. It aggregates more than 60 data elements from E-mail receivers like ISPs to compile a composite reputation score for every sender of commercial E-mail. Sender Score Reputation Monitor analyzes data covering more than 40 million E-mail boxes across filtering companies and ISPs, so it can report reputation information across numerous indices. Sender Score Reputation Monitor looks at the following:
* Complaint rate data
* Volume of E-mail sent
* Filtering rates
* Unknown user rates
* Security practices
* Identity stability
* Blacklist counts
* Unsubscribe functionality
