IMP Packages

IMP Packages take the work out of managing a large E-mail platform. Built as a turnkey solution with individual configurations adapted to customer-specific requirements, the IMP Packages consist of the IMP Base Platform with Bizanga toolkits, service packs and best-of-breed applications as required. Bizanga pre-configures the system and updates the configuration frequently to make sure it meets and exceeds performance expectations. Through this, the IMP Packages provide the best of both worlds: Easy management without complex configuration and access to unparalleled drill-down information and configuration.

The IMP Packages deliver specified performance out-of-the-box, requiring little to no overhead on deployment or maintenance beyond monitoring. The following are the currently available IMP Packages:

  • IMP-L Package: Guaranteed filtering of over 75% of all Spam
  • IMP-M Package: Guaranteed filtering of over 85% of all Spam
  • IMP-H Package: Guaranteed filtering of over 95% of all Spam

If requested, Bizanga can guarantee filtering performance on aforementioned packages with a Filtering Performance SLA with attached penalties. As part of the IMP Packages, customers are assigned Bizanga engineers to support them in operations and ensure the IMP systems deployed at the customer site function properly.

IMP-L Package

The IMP-L Package, which comes with guaranteed filtering of at least 75% of all spam, consists of the following elements — at a minimum:

  • IMP Base Platform
  • IMP Service Pack
  • Third-party anti-virus (optional)

This package provides reputation-based spam filtering, using integrated third-party reputation services from Habeas, Return Path and Spamhaus (more detail). Bizanga configures IMP platforms deployed with this package to remove — at the very least — 75% of all spam from inbound E-mail streams at the edge.

IMP-M Package

The IMP-M Package, which comes with guaranteed filtering of at least 85% of all spam, consists of the following elements:

  • IMP Base Platform
  • IMP Protocol Flow Control
  • IMP Service Pack
  • Third-party anti-virus (optional)

This package provides advanced reputation-based filtering of spam, relying on integrated third-party reputation services from Habeas, Return Path and Spamhaus (more detail) along with real-time feedback loops, statistical protocol filtering and dynamic reputation data. Bizanga configures IMP platforms deployed with this package to remove at minimum 85% of all spam from inbound E-mail streams at the edge.

IMP-H Package

The IMP-H Package, which comes with guaranteed filtering of at least 95% of all spam, comes with the following elements:

  • IMP Base Platform
  • IMP Protocol Flow Control
  • Third-party anti-spam content filter
  • IMP Service Pack
  • Third-party anti-virus (optional)

This package uses multiple steps in filtering inbound E-mail. The first step is advanced reputation-based filtering of spam, using integrated third-party reputation services from Habeas, Return Path and Spamhaus (more detail) combined with real-time feedback loops and dynamic reputation data. This removes a minimum of 85% of all spam from the E-mail stream. Remaining inbound E-mail passes through an anti-spam content filter (more detail), resulting in at least 95% of all spam from inbound E-mail streams being filtered at the edge.

Filtering SLAs available for the IMP-H Package depend on the customer's chosen content filter.
